He is focused on P.falciparum- human cell interactions at both the Hepatic and blood schizont levels, both for non-adaptative and adaptative mechanisms. He has developped unique resources to dissect those stages, particularly the invitro production of liver stages, the Immunocompromised mouse model for human hepatocytes, the immunocompromised mouse model supporting P.falciparum erythrocytic stages, a high throughput gene expression platform, numerous sophisticated field set-ups particularly in Senegal and in Burma.
