  Marita Troye-Blomberg Profile

Research Focus:

The laboratory of Marita Troye-Blomberg has been engaged in studies on malaria for the last 20 years. The major aims during the last 10 years have been genetic regulation of P.falciparum specific responses with special emphasis the induction, regulation and function of anti-malaria specific IgE. Her group was the first to show the induction of different T-cell subsets during malaria in humans, that the responses were genetically. The group has a great expertise in micro-methods for studying immune responses in humans which will complement and strengthen other partner activities to achieve the goals defined in cluster 4.
